The Kansas County Highway Association Spring Conference brings together county transportation and public works professionals from across Kansas to exchange practical solutions, learn from peers, and connect with industry partners who support the maintenance and improvement of county roads and bridges.

Tuesday, May 5

  • Conference educational sessions and association business meeting
  • Updates from transportation partners and industry experts
  • Vendor Equipment Expo and Showcase (1:00–5:00 PM)
  • Evening reception and conference banquet with entertainment

Wednesday, May 6

  • Morning conference sessions and peer discussions
  • Vendor networking and refreshments
  • Prize drawing
  • Conference adjourns at approximately 11:25 AM
  • KCHA Executive Board Meeting follows the conference

  • Tuesday Evening Reception Guest Ticket $75

First-Time Department Head Support: For KCHA department heads who are first-time conference attendees, KCHA will cover conference registration and hotel costs for one KCHA member per county. Reimbursement will be issued after the conference.

About the Workshop: This class is an overview of the administrative, political, and legal framework for running a county road department. The course material is based on the New Road Supervisor’s Guide published by LTAP in February 2011. Ample opportunity will be provided to discuss common issues and problems faced by road supervisors.

Who Should Attend: This workshop is for new county road supervisors and those that may someday become road supervisors. Subject matter is also appropriate for foremen, township officials, and city supervisors.
